Located in Washington Park, Washington, PA, the Frontier History Center was constructed to help visitors better understand 18th Century life in Western PA.
The site was chosen for its accessibility for school and bus tours. Its proximity to all major highways makes it an ideal location, and centrally located in the county seat ensures a short commute from all the areas and schools within the county.
Included in this site is the well-known Washington Park Log Cabin. Completed construction includes the 50' x 50' stockade, blockhouse, one interior cabin, one exterior cabin, a half-faced camp, and a blacksmith shop.
Plans call for the continuation of site development; a log house, log meeting house, three-sided barn, and Indian camp are all part of future construction. Please continue to check back and see how construction progresses.
